Forgotten password in Identity Manager
These instructions apply to all UZH employees (internal) and students.
External employees should contact their
- institute IT administrator or the
- UZH Service Desk directly (mail).
Open Identity Manager
- Open www.identity.uzh.ch.
- Click on the «Passwort reset» link.
Request security code
Prerequisite:
- Sie müssen in Ihrem Identity Management-Profil, bei den Kontaktinformationen, vorher SELBST eine private Mobilnummer hinterlegt haben.
How to do it:
- Enter your full UZH name (first and last name).
- Enter your student ID number (students) or personnel number (employees).
- Click on the «Request security code» button.
Set a New Password
- Enter the security code you received.
- Enter your new password twice.
- Click on the «Send password change» button.
The new password is only valid for Identity Manager and Active Directory.
Successful change
After successfully entering your new password, you will see a confirmation message.
Problems Resetting?
If you cannot request a security code:
- Your private mobile number is not stored in your profile, or
- Your account is locked.
