Forgotten password in Identity Manager

These instructions apply to all UZH employees (internal) and students.
External employees should contact their

Open Identity Manager

Request security code

Prerequisite: 

  • Sie müssen in Ihrem Identity Management-Profil, bei den Kontaktinformationen, vorher SELBST eine private Mobilnummer hinterlegt haben.

How to do it: 

  1. Enter your full UZH name (first and last name).
  2. Enter your student ID number (students) or personnel number (employees).
  3. Click on the «Request security code» button.

Set a New Password

  1. Enter the security code you received.
  2. Enter your new password twice.
  3. Click on the «Send password change» button. 

The new password is only valid for Identity Manager and Active Directory.  

Successful change

After successfully entering your new password, you will see a confirmation message.

Problems Resetting?

If you cannot request a security code:

  • Your private mobile number is not stored in your profile, or
  • Your account is locked.
