The University of Zurich is constantly working to improve and keep its web applications for students up to date.
From 6 August 2020, we will thus change how you access to module booking. Access will now be organized via a virtual waiting room (queue).
The way you book your modules will stay the same.
What Will Change?
When you open the module booking, the following screens will appear (fig. 1 and 2).
From 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.: An information appears on screen announcing when the module booking process will start (countdown timer).
From 10.00 a.m.: Module booking has started - information announcing the student's place in the queue and the estimated time when the student can book modules.
After you have been taken from the queue to the module booking screen, you can log in using your UZH short name and your Active Directory (AD) password.
- A refresh of the browser window during the queue phases is not necessary.
- It is not necessary to open several browser sessions at the same time to be the "first" to use the module booking.
- At the beginning of the module booking periods, all students in the waiting room (pre-queue) are randomly assigned a place in the queue at exactly 10:00 a.m. and forwarded to the module booking screen in that order.
- Students who enter the virtual waiting room after 10.00 a.m. are automatically placed at the end of the queue.
