Connecting Remote Lecturers to a Lecture Hall or Seminar Room
In this type of event, participants are physically present in a lecture hall or seminar room, while the lecturer teaches remotely—for example, from their office or home.
The presentation is delivered via a videoconference connection using Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Technical support
The faculties are responsible for first-level support on site in the lecture hall or seminar room. This includes setting up and testing the connections and providing support during the event.
Note for Remote Lecturers
To ensure good voice quality, it is essential to use a headset or other audio device specifically designed for this purpose. Internal computer microphones and speakers should be avoided.
Notes for Events in Lecture Halls or Seminar Rooms
- A person present (e.g., assistant or moderator) operates the video conference via their own laptop.
- Participants in the room see and hear the lecturer (camera image, presentation, sound) via a projector and speakers.
- Participants may ask questions, but these must be actively moderated.
