TinyURLs/URL Shortener

Purpose and Addressees of the Service

A URL Shortener creates an alias for long, complicated URLs. This makes it easier to access web pages on smartphones. Short URLs are also popular in microblogging services, where only a limited number of characters are allowed in each message.
