Deleting Recordings

Deletion Criteria

Recordings are deleted for cost reasons if

• the lecture series within a semester (usually 13 recordings) has fewer than 100 views per year from the third year after recording, or
• the individual event (including conferences, events) has fewer than 10 views per year from the third year after recording.

Deletion procedure

1. From the fourth year after recording, MELS will first unpublish the affected content. The recordings will then no longer be publicly visible.
2. At the same time, the clients will be informed by email.
3. If no response is received within 6 months, the recordings will be permanently and irrevocably deleted.

Note: If you still require an affected recording, you can apply to MELS for republication within the deadline.
