Operating Combox

Putting the Combox into operation

The Combox is already activated when you start using your mobile.

Listen to Combox with your mobile phone

Call your Combox with your mobile phone: +41 79 499 79 79 79 and your messages will be played automatically in Switzerland.

Listening to Combox with another (mobile) phone Within Switzerland

  1. Dial 086 and then your complete mobile number including area code, e.g. 086 079 123 45 67.
  2. You will hear the welcome text of your Combox
  3. Press the key during the welcome text.
  4. Then enter your COMBOX® PIN and then press the key
  5. Your messages are now played automatically

Call forwarding to Combox

Your Combox accepts all calls by default when

  • you do not answer a call within 20 seconds
  • your phone is switched off or has no reception.
  • you are already on a call and your phone is busy.

  1. Enter the following key combination: # # 0 0 4 #
  2. Press the call key.

  1. Enter the following key combination: * * 004 * +41 86 xxx xx xx # (x is your 10-digit mobile phone number including area code). Example: +41 86 079 123 45 67
  2. Press the call key.

Combox Pin forgotten

Send the word COMBOX by SMS to the number 444 and you will immediately receive an SMS with your PIN code. This service is free of charge in Switzerland.

Using the Combox abroad

The Combox can also be used abroad. When making a query abroad (also from mobile phones), the PIN (password) must always be entered!

Simple and secure listening to the Combox

  1. Call your Combox: +41 79 499 79 79.
  2. You will be asked to enter your mobile phone number (e.g. 079 123 4567).
  3. You will now be automatically guided through the "Message Request" menu.
  4. You will be prompted to enter your PIN. If you do not know your PIN, it will be sent to you by SMS. You do not need to interrupt the call to do this. Just follow the announcement.

Operating the Combox via web access

Now you can insert your Combox pro in the Swisscom Customer Center and make your Combox settings there. You can also listen to and forward messages, send faxes and add further SMS notification recipients. In order to activate the Combox in the customer centre, you must first log in to Swisscom and then activate your Combox.

Step 1:

  1. Go to www.swisscom.ch/kundencenter on the Internet.
  2. If you already have a Swisscom login, you can log in directly and activate your Combox (step 2)
  3. If you do not yet have a Swisscom login, set up a new login. You will be guided through the login process.

Step 2:

  1. Once you are in the Swisscom Customer Centre, click on "Combox Overview" in the left-hand navigation column.
  2. Select "Activate Internet access to Combox" and define which Combox you want to activate online. You will be guided through the activation process.
