Instructions regarding Planning, Ordering and Commissioning of the WLAN in the NUZ*

  1. In principle, the instructions regarding planning, ordering and commissioning of the NUZ apply.

  2. The planning of the WLAN is subject to the Technical Guideline 236a WLAN Installations of the UZH (see https://www.pbfm.uzh.ch/de/downloads/downloads-technik.html).
  3. In each case, the positions of the WLAN transmitters are planned individually. As a rule, a site survey is carried out for this purpose. For new buildings, initial assumptions can be made at an early stage on the basis of floor plans. A site survey in a typical zone of the shell can later verify or correct these assumptions.
  4. The project management contacts the WLAN planner and requests a quotation for planning, delivery and installation of the WLAN. The WLAN planner needs floor plans and usually an on-site visit if the building is to be converted. The quotation is then submitted by the supplier.
  5. The order must be placed with the supplier at least 2 months before the planned initial operation.
