Generative AI in everyday working life at UZH (Brown Bag Session, Spring Semester 2026)

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping our daily work at UZH. In this series of lunch events, UZH experts will provide practical guidance on how to use AI effectively and responsibly.
In five concise online sessions, you’ll learn the basics, discover the opportunities and limitations of working with machines, and gain insights into specific applications of AI in administrative processes. These sequential sessions will guide you step by step from understanding to application and context. This will help you gain clarity and confidence in thoughtfully using AI.
Who is this for?
This series of events is aimed specifically at ATP employees at UZH. Participation is open to all members of the UZH community.
Organizational Information
This series of events was developed in collaboration with the “AI Upskilling Working Group,” which includes representatives from the Human Resources Department, V-ATP, and UZH.ai.
Dates:
- June 3 to July 1, 2026 (on various weekdays)
- 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM each time.
Event format:
- The events will be held online via Microsoft Teams: ZI - Lunch Events
- Direct links to the individual events are listed in the program.
- The events will be held in German. We will be enabling automatic subtitles for the event. You can then choose the language you would like the subtitles to be translated into.

Lukas Löffel, Mitarbeiter für Innovation and Digital Education, Lehrentwicklung UZH “Warum ‘versteht’ mich KI nicht immer?” Generative KI kann Texte verfassen, Informationen strukturieren und Arbeitsprozesse unterstützen. Der tatsächliche Mehrwert hängt jedoch entscheidend davon ab, wie wir mit ihr interagieren. In dieser Lunchveranstaltung lernen Sie praxisnah, wie Sie KI-Tools effizient und sinnvoll in Ihrem Arbeitsalltag an der UZH einsetzen können. Im Zentrum stehen das Formulieren wirksamer Prompts, die Arbeit mit KI-gestützten Texten und Daten sowie die kritische Qualitätskontrolle von KI-Ergebnissen.
